Thank you for your interest in purchasing a Commemorative Bench to be placed at a Pierce County park site.
Fee subject to change.
The Donation Coordinator will contact you if the site of interest has any ADA bench locations.
Please keep messages to a maximum of 15 words. We retain the right to edit submitted copy. Please note that plaques may not contain marketing information or phone numbers.
I am aware that bench locations are predetermined by Pierce County Parks and Recreation.
I am aware that bench and plaque orders are accepted January through November 1. Order submitted after May 1 will be installed the following year between March and October.
I am aware that the program cost includes a powder-coated steel park bench, 5" x 10" stainless steel plaque with inscription, delivery/installation on a 4' x 10' concrete pad, photo, and letter of dedication. A proof of the plaque will be provided for review and approval before fabrication.
I am aware that orders are processed in the order received during regular business hours. When checking the availability of possible bench sites on the maps, that availability is subject to change without notice.
I am aware that benches become the property of Pierce County Parks and Recreation when they are installed. The Department will maintain and care for a bench until it reaches the end of its useful life. This service will include repairing or replacing a bench that becomes damaged in the first 10 years of use. When the bench reaches the end of its useful life, the Department will not be responsible for replacement and may remove the bench at its sole discretion.
I am aware that Pierce County Parks and Recreation will not pay for the replacement of damaged plaques. New plaques may be purchased for $275 when a new order form is submitted for each plaque to be replaced.
I am aware that payment must be received before an order is placed.
The Commemorative Bench Program procedure is to be used in conjunction with Park Policy #3001: Park Donations and Memorial Gifts.
