Federal CARES Act funds relief program for affordable housing operations

Affordable Housing Operations

Pierce County Human Services has received $1.45 million in federal CARES Act dollars to help stabilize affordable housing projects. Grants are available for eligible owners and operators of deed-restricted affordable housing projects who have suffered a COVID-19 related loss of income and/or have COVID-19 related expenses.

 

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Units in the project must be for tenants at or below 50% Area Median Income (AMI)
  • Owners/operators must have a Federal Tax Number (EIN) and Unified Business Identifier Number (UBI)
  • Project sites must be located in Pierce County

 

Eligible reimbursements and required documentation can be found here. To apply, send the completed application and required documents to HSCaresAct@piercecountywa.gov.
