About the Facilities Management Construction Division
The Construction Division manages the building of new county facilities as well as upgrades to existing facilities, from initial needs assessments through project management and warranty issue resolution.
The division:
- Manages the design and construction of new County facilities and related contracts with architects, engineers and construction companies
- Oversees energy efficiency upgrades for County facilities
- Manages large scale remodels and renovations of existing facilities
- Oversees major building and system component upgrades
- Conducts ongoing building system assessments of County owned facilities
Providing Expert Services
The Construction Division provides expert services to other Pierce County departments, which include:
- Complete construction project management
- Design consultant selection
- Space planning
- Specifications development
- Warranty issue resolution
