The project is in the early stages of the preliminary engineering phase. Pierce County's consultant has completed a preliminary design study and a follow-up study is being scoped.
About the Project
Planned improvements to McCutcheon Road East at its crossing with Canyonfalls Creek (CRP 5846) are intended to improve safety and preserve the roadway by replacing the existing culvert. This project will include the following:
Removing the existing culvert.
Reconstructing a new two-lane bridge with paved shoulders and approach roadways.
Spring 2017 to Early 2020: Surveying, preliminary engineering and right-of-way plans.
Early 2020 and Beyond: Continue preliminary engineering, right-of-way acquisition, and environmental documentation. Final construction plans, specifications, estimate, and construction timeline will be will be determined as funding becomes available.
