We’re planning repairs and replacements of 2 miles of Fairfax Forest Reserve Road East between Poch Creek and the Mount Rainier National Park Carbon River Entrance. Improvements being considered include:
Installing guardrail.
Upsizing 7 existing culverts.
Adding 4 new culverts.
Resurfacing the existing road.
Land: All work will be on National Forest and National Parks land or County road right of way.
Survey:County staff will be gathering field data of the project area.
Project Timeline
August 2018 to Spring 2024: Gathering of field data, design engineering, environmental permitting.
