Caregiver Support Groups


Groups provide support, insight, encouragement and answers to the challenges of being a caregiver.


Good Samaritan's Caregiver Support Group (for the ''generic'' caregiver). Meets the second Monday of each month, 1:30-3 p.m. in Room C-113 at the Good Samaritan Community Services Building located at 325 E. Pioneer in Puyallup. Contact Kathie McCormack at (253) 697-8400.

Tacoma (Adult Day Health)

For caregivers and family members of Adult Day Health participants. Meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. Held at Associated Adult Day Health Center, 6442 S. Yakima. Call (253) 552-1188.

Alzheimer's Support Groups

Groups that focus specifically on caregiving for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's Disease.

Cancer Support Group

Gilda's on the Go partners with MultiCare Regional Cancer Center for a group for patients and providers. All are welcome. Held at the Cancer Center of Auburn, 121 N. Division St, #100 in Auburn on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Contact Sally Benson or call (866) 200-2383.

Harmony Hill Retreat Center in Union (north of Shelton) supports survivorship for people affected by cancer, their caregivers, survivors and health care professionals with hope, healing and positive change to live each day at its fullest. Traumatic Brain Injury
