Copies / Records Access
Obtaining Copies
To obtain copies of Pierce County Superior Court documents:
- For documents filed after Jan. 1, 2002, you may go to LINX - Legal Information Network Exchange. Choose the “Search” tab and type in either your case number or name in the appropriate block and click “Enter.” This will allow you to access documents, pay for, view and/or print the documents online.
- The fees required for purchasing documents over the web are:
- $0.25 per document page for a non-certified copy
- $5 for the first document page and $1 for each additional document page for a certified copy (in accordance with RCW 36.18.016(4))
- For copies of documents filed between January 1991 and December 2001, that are not imaged, please fill out this form Scan Document to request the documents be imaged for purchase. Requests submitted will be available for purchase through the LINX - Legal Information Network Exchange within two (2) business days. You will receive an email confirmation when the documents are available for purchase.
- For records filed prior to January 1991 please call the Clerk's Office at 253-798-7717.
Pierce County ClerkMail requests should include the case number (if known), the names of the parties involved, the approximate date of the action, the document or documents you wish copies of, a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a cashier’s check or money order. Please contact the Clerk's Office directly at 253-798-7455 if you need help in determining fees.

Audio Request
To request a CD of a hearing from commissioner’s court, fill out the Transcript Request Form. Mail or bring into the Clerk’s Office with the appropriate funds.
