Weatherization Highlights
In 2019 we finished a multi-family project at Marymount Manor in Parkland, where we installed new ductless heating pumps and eco-friendly items to improve the air quality in 40+ units. Now residents at Marymount Manor have working fans, energy efficient heaters and lights that reduce energy usage which not only decreases their bills, but can also improve respiratory issues! Watch the video below to see how the Weatherization program is working to improve the homes and lives of Pierce County residents.

Weatherization Plus Health
The Washington State legislature expanded its investment in healthy, safe and energy efficient weatherization to include improvements that help children and adults combat asthma and other respiratory issues. This program initiative, called Weatherization Plus Health, combines weatherization improvements in low-income homes with measures that reduce health risks and health costs for impacted families.

The Pierce County Weatherization Assistance Program has partnered with the Pierce County Health Department to assist Qualified households with occupants who have Asthma, COPD or other respiratory issues. Learn more about the project.
