Sprinker Tennis Center is Honored as a 'Top 50 Tennis Welcome Center' for Promoting the Growth of Tennis in the US.
Tacoma, WA - Sprinker Tennis Center has been named a 'Top 50 Tennis Welcome Center for 2008' for delivering a variety of tennis programs to new and current players of all ages in efforts to increase participation in the game, the Tennis Industry Association and United States Tennis Association announced.
'The staff at the Sprinker Tennis Center has created a positive tennis experience for people in the Tacoma, Pierce County area, 'says Jolyn de Boer, executive director of the Tennis industry Association (TIA). 'Tennis Welcome Centers serve a vital role in delivering tennis, and we are pleased to recognize these efforts with this award.'

Sprinker Recreation Center has four indoor tennis courts and tennis pro shop. Many activities are available including private and group lessons, league, block usage and tournaments. Equipment such as a ball machine and rackets are available along with complete locker room facilities.

Reservations:
Tennis Courts are available for rent daily from 6:00 am-11:00 pm. Reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance by calling the Pro Shop (253) 531-6300. Hours of play are from 6 a.m. to 11:00 p.m
1. Regular court times are for one (1) hour except for Early Bird and Late Nite times
2. Early Bird and Late Nite court times must be paid for in advance.
- Early Bird: 6:00-9:00 AM daily
- Late Nite: 8:00 - 10:00 pm Monday-Friday
- Late Nite: 6:00-10:00 pm Saturday and Sunday

Our group lesson program is designed to teach tennis quickly and inexpensively and by introducing tennis as a group activity, it brings about a very social appeal. Our program enables us to lead students quickly to modified match play through a fast-paced, active curriculum complete with handouts and support materials.
The programming is designed with age-specific classes, each one organized in skill levels. Level I is for beginning players and consists of an instructional program. Level II consists of instructional review, practice and modified play. Level III continues with modified or league play, strategies and specialty shot drills, depending upon the age and ability of the group. At all levels, the emphasis is on fun, activity and creativity. Our goal is to get entry level players to develop the skills to participate in games and activities.

PRIVATE TENNIS LESSONS
Our private tennis lessons are available for individuals in either an one hour, 1/2 hour or one hour semi private lesson format. Private group lessons are also available with a 3 person minimum. Tennis Pros for lessons are Steve Kubota, Zach Laycock, Dennis Heinz, Ryan Paul and Pat Block. All series of lessons must be paid in advance. Sprinker Tennis Pro Shop offers a complete selection of tennis racquets from Wilson, Babolat, Fischer, Prince, and Head plus a complete selection of racquetball racquets from Ektelon, Wilson and Head. Demos are also available.
Sprinker Tennis Center is a member of the United States Racquet Stringers Association. Professional racquet stringing with Wilson, Prince, Gamma, Technifibre, Luxilon, and Babolat strings with a 24-hour turn-around.
