The South Hill Community Plan was adopted by Pierce County on April 22, 2003. South Hill is centrally located in Pierce County and encompasses approximately 19 square miles. The community plan provides residents, property owners, business people, and Pierce County government with a detailed sense of how the community wants South Hill to develop in the future and includes regulations and standards to create and maintain the look and feel envisioned. If you live, own property or are planning to develop in the South Hill community please take the time to familiarize yourself with the goals of the citizens of South Hill.

The regulations to implement the South Hill Community Plan were adopted on April 22, 2003 with an effective date of June 16, 2003. These regulations amend sections of Title 18A -Zoning, and introduced a new South Hill section (18B.140) into Title 18B - Signs. A new South Hill section (18J.50) was included into Title 18J - Design Standards and Guidelines of the Pierce County Code and sets the requirements for site design, building architecture, landscaping and recreation.
