What is the Anderson-Ketron Islands Community Plan?
In June 2005, the County Council authorized the Planning and Land Services Department to prepare a community plan for Anderson and Ketron Islands through adoption of Resolution No. R2005-52. The Anderson-Ketron Islands Community Plan will be a policy document adopted by the Pierce County Council that refines how the Pierce County Comprehensive Plan and its development regulations will be carried out in the community. The community plan will provide specific policy direction and action steps to decision makers as related to land use, the natural environment, economic development, community character, and public facilities and services.
