AGING AND LONG TERM CARE HEALTH PROMOTION
Back to Human Services | Back to Aging and Long Term Care Health Promotion and disease prevention services are provided to ethnic minority elders, 60 years of age or older, residing in Pierce County. Services, such as blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, and educational presentations on culturally relevant health topics, are provided in collaboration with existing ethnic mealsite programs. Targeted groups include: Cambodian, Vietnamese, Korean, Filipino, Samoan, Russian, Japanese, and Hispanic. There is no service fee, however, donations are accepted at the mealsite locations. Family Resource Coordination Developmental Disabilities unit offers help for families and children with a developmental disability. |
