ABOUT THE ART BANK
The Pierce County Art Bank portable artwork collection is installed in public spaces throughout Pierce County buildings with the goal to improve the quality of the work environment, support local artists, and increase awareness of the diversity of art production in the county. The Art Bank, part of the Public Art Program administered by Pierce County Arts & Cultural Services, serves our mission to bring art into the life of all Pierce County residents.
NEW ADDITIONS: PORTABLE WORKS IN MIXED MEDIA 2009
Artworks created by 15 Pierce County artists have been selected for the Pierce County Art Bank collection of portable works. The works were chosen from respondents to a public call to artists (open to professional artists living/working in Pierce County) whose artwork combines traditionally distinct media in the same piece. The chosen artwork ranges widely from collage and altered found objects, to porcelain and resin relief.
