Corrections Nursing

RN's in Corrections:
- Triage individuals at booking, confirm medical needs and arrange on-going care of inmates.
- Triage inmate health needs and refer inmates to appropriate services.
- Independently assess and treat inmates' minor problems with nursing protocols.
- Perform health screening exams.
- Coordinate and manage sick-call clinic.
- Independently assess inmates' needs, arrange care with Practitioner consultation during non-clinic hours.
- Respond to medical emergencies.

LPN's in Corrections:
- Distribute inmates' medications at scheduled times.
- Provide inmates' diabetic care.
- Perform inmates' treatment.
- Perform TB testing.
- Respond to medical emergencies.
