Arrestees are brought by law enforcement into a pre-booking area of the New Jail to await the actual booking process. The Booking Officers fill out a medical screening form, and if necessary, a booking nurse checks the arrestee. The person is booked, then fingerprinted and photographed by the Print and Photo Officer. He/she is given charges and bail amount, and allowed a phone call.
