The General Maintenance Officer is responsible for keying locks and handles, cutting all keys for Jail locks, replacing broken or worn keys and issuing keys to staff. The General Maintenance Officer sees to installation and minor repair of locks. The officer also maintains the inventory and minor repair of radios. The GMO ensures that scheduled maintenance is performed: cleaning and inspection is completed on county vehicles. He/she works with the County Garage on repairs. The GMO works to repair alarms, replaces batteries, and repairs lockers and replaces locker keys as needed.
