The map can also be reached from the Pierce County home page by selecting 'Geographical Information' on the Services menu, then choosing 'Public GIS'.


The Pierce County Council regulates the zoning for firearms restrictions within Pierce county. Community members may petition the council to add areas, remove areas or change existing areas regulated as a firearm restriction zone.

Community members interested in petitioning the council to make changes to the firearm restriction zones can download the firearms discharge petition and submit the request to the council.

The firearms discharge peition is a PDF document and requires a document reader capable of reading PDF documents.
