1. View Current Job Openings: View job openings listed on the summarized view of the job list.
2. Select a Position: Click on the position title of your choice. This takes you to the expanded job list page where more information about the position, including salary, department, etc. is displayed.
3. IMPORTANT! Read the Announcement: At the expanded job list, click a posting title to view the full job announcement. Read the full job announcement to be sure you know the details such as exam date, supplemental questions, etc. and to be sure you qualify for the position.
4. Return to the Job List: Click the 'Back' button of your browser to return to the expanded job list.
5. Apply On-line: Click the 'Apply' button, then click 'Apply Now' to begin the on-line application process. If the 'Apply Now' button is missing, we are not accepting on-line applications for that position; return to the job announcement for instructions or select another method offered.
6. Create Account and Login: At the 'Login' page, if you already have an account, login with your userid and password. If you don't have an account, click the 'OK' button to create a new account; a temporary password will be e-mailed to you. Copy the temporary password from the e-mail (CTRL + C) and paste into the login screen (CTRL + V) and proceed to create a password and login.
7. Complete the Application: Complete each section of the on-line application. When a red 'Continue' or 'Go Back' button is clicked, your information is saved.
8. Preview Application: When you reach the last screen of the application, which is the 'Submit' screen, another browser window will open with a printable preview of the application. This window might appear behind the current window, so look for it in your pc's task bar or by using ALT + TAB. Preview your application. If you would like to make changes to your application, click the red 'Back' button to return to the application.
9. Submit Application: If the preview is correct, return to the 'Submit' screen and click the red 'Submit' button to submit your application to us. The application must be submitted on or before the closing date/time in order to be considered.
10. Logout: To logout of your account, either close your browser window or use the 'Go Back' button to return to the main profile page, then click the 'Sign Out' button.
11. E-mail Confirmation: After submitting your application, an e-mail will be sent to you acknowledging receipt of your application.
12. US Mail Confirmation: Within 4-6 weeks of submitting your application, a postcard will be mailed to your address of record indicating we have received your application.
