Pre-registration is required for all classes, unless otherwise stated, to ensure class minimums are met. Our classes must meet minimum and maximum enrollment standards. Classes may fill quickly or classes may be canceled due to low enrollment.

If you have registered for a class that must be canceled you will be contacted and entitled to a full refund.

Please feel free to contact Pierce County Parks Admin Office or Sprinker Recreation Center the day before your class starts to make sure the class has not been cancelled.

A request for a full refund will be granted only if your request is presented before the first class begins. After classes have started your refund request will be issued on a pro-rated basis.

No refunds will be issued after the start of the third class. Refund requests must be presented 24 hours prior to one day seminars/workshops.

We regret that refunds cannot be made for programs, classes, clinics or trips consisting of 4 or less sessions unless approved by the Parks and Recreation Department.

In the event of severe weather conditions, such as snowstorms, please contact the center regarding the status of classes, meetings, or activities.

For events/classes inside Sprinker Recreation Center call 253-798-4905 as the staff at Sprinker Center is often unable to contact everyone individually regarding these unfortunate but unforeseen circumstances.

All participants in the Pierce County Parks and Recreation Department's recreation division programs should have their own medical insurance to cover any injuries sustained while participating in any activity sponsored by the division. Pierce County will not be financially responsible for any medical expenses.

Pierce County Parks and Recreation staff may videotape or take photos of participants in programs and special events, or of people in or on park properties. Those photos may be used for promoting our programs, classes, events, in print, for TV, or on the website.
