Increased sponsorship dollars provide us the ability to acquire property, develop, expand and renovate new public facilities, and make major capital investments in exchange for marketing opportunities. Pierce County Parks and Recreation has targeted 8 key areas for marketing alliances which consists of:

Naming Rights | Advertising | Vendor Agreements
Golf Course | Signage | Special Events
Capital Projects/Infrastructure | Initiatives

NAMING RIGHTS

Facilities provide our partners with a point of differentiation and a platform from which to deliver their message. The naming of a facility is a catalyst, which is embodied by advertising, communications and marketing with a defined purpose of executing a specific plan and presence. The value of naming rights agreements will continue to grow and the majority of these opportunities will not necessarily happen at the professional sports venue level. There are multi-tiered opportunities that will be attractive to a host of corporate prospects with varied motives and initiatives.

The central initiative involved in naming is the ability for the sponsor or partner to take advantage of the marketing opportunities offered. Prevailing trends include show casing products and services at the venue or attraction and in peripheral media, integrating their products or brands into the brick and mortar of the project, product sales and sampling, vendor arrangements, hospitality, signage, cohesive advertising and marketing themes, etc.
