Special Day of Fun for Moms and Sons

A twist on the traditional daddy-daughter dance, Pierce County Parks and Recreation's Mom and Son Fun Day offered music, competitions, door prizes, and a chance for moms and sons to bond.

Moma and Son Fun Day

This first annual Mom and Son Fun Day on Saturday, May 30 was a great success. The event was geared around a 'Rock Star' theme featuring a Guitar Hero competition, Extreme Park Tour Challenge, cool crafts, refreshments, and rockin` dance games.

Open to boys of all ages and their mothers or female caregivers, each boy received a camouflage goodie bag upon arrival. Then it was off to either the outside scavenger hunt, try their skills at the Guitar Hero competition, have pictures taken in ocean or alien backgrounds, create ?rock star? photo frames, or head to the dance floor.

Sound FX provided a variety of music, and Actions Photos Northwest provided the couples with photos to commemorate the evening.
