Dancing the Night Away

Little girls giggled and fathers smiled as more than 400 people created memories at two Daddy Daughter dances hosted by Pierce County Parks and Recreation. The annual dances at Sprinker Recreation Center and Frontier Park included a DJ, punch, cookies, crafts, prize drawings and gift bags for the daughters.

Fathers were in their Sunday best or their dress blue military uniforms and girls of all ages were in their favorite or new dresses. Some dads picked up their very young daughters and danced, others danced side-by-side. Either way, the dance floors were filled with color and smiles as the pairs danced to the 'Macarena', 'Butterfly Kisses', 'YMCA', 'Limbo' and other favorites.

Sound FX provided a variety of music, and Actions Photos Northwest provided the couples with photos to commemorate the evening.
