Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA, affects many processes within Pierce County government.


Applicants
Pierce County will provide reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities during the employment selection process, if requested.
Applicants are asked to please notify the Pierce County Human Resources Department by e-mail or phone (253)798-7480 of the accommodation needed, preferably at the time of application, but at least two days prior to the date needed.


Current Employees
Reasonable accommodation for employees will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Reasonable accommodation is determined through consideration of the essential job functions of the classification held, the feasibility of providing the accommodation requested, and/or other relevant factors including the employee's physical and/or mental limitations.
