Community Initiatives: Safe Streets

Safer Communities

The Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office is a proud supporter of the Safe Streets campaign, which is a non-profit organization that brings people together, often for the first time, to take back their streets.

By forming neighborhood block groups, the Safe Streets campaign helps plant the seed of grassroots, community leadership. That leadership helps hold communities together and links them with can-do people in agencies and organizations to make neighborhoods safe. Working together is the key to reversing crime trends in our neighborhoods. Safe Streets helps to create better, safer communities throughout Pierce County.

Get Involved

On every fourth Tuesday of the month, Safe Streets conducts Block Watch training for members of the community who want to start up or strengthen a Block Watch, Neighborhood Watch or Business Watch group in their neighborhood. Trainings are free. Register online for one of the upcoming trainings.
