Summer Camps
Three Weeks and Two Locations of exploring Fun!!



Calling all Explorers! Discover the landscapes of Pierce County through exploration, adventure, and creative play. Campers ages 5-14 will work together with community partners in activities designed to inform and enrich their lives as stewards of our environment.

No two days are alike. Each offer exciting new experiences with sensory awareness, mapping, earth stewardship, search and rescue, survival skills, emergency response, scientific investigation and more. Participants need to come dressed according to weather conditions and are encouraged to pack waste free lunches, water bottles, and backpacks.

Week 1 - Two Half Day Camps


Five fun filled days of with your choice of two half camps featuring all things nature or building with Legos. Enroll in one half day camp or fill your day with both camps and save $35.

Week 1 - Young Explorers Eco Half Day Camp


June 25-29
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Sprinker Recreation Center/Spanaway Park

For: Ages 5-8
Fee: $75/camper

The Young Explorers camp includes activities, games, and art centered around nature. Campers will enjoy exploring the natural world while learning about salmon, watersheds, working as a team, and being eco-friendly in this safe camp environment!

Week 1 - Bricks Eco Super Hero Half Day Camp

Fee: $185/camper

Week 2 - Junior Explorers


July 9-13
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Fee: $120/camper 
Course: #12497 - Register Online by June 29

Campers will explore the surrounding area of Spanaway Park in Spanaway and become familiar with the local forest through sensory games and activities. Campers will also visit a local farm, investigate freshwater habitats, visit Alder Dam, and much more.

Week 3 - Junior Explorers


July 30-August 3
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Chambers Creek Regional Park

Fee: $120/camper (scholarship available 253-798-4104)
Course: #12499 - Register Online by June 29

Through sensory games and activities, campers will explore Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place and its surrounding forest through sensory games and hands-on actvities. Campers will also explore the power of water, investigate fresh water habitats, learn basic emergency preparedness, and much more.
 Each camp will be limited to the first 15 participants registered. A minimum of 10 participants is needed.
