Trails Plan

Purpose

Our Regional Trails Plan comprises of a regional system of off-street trails and corridors that links parks, open spaces, significant environmental features, public facilities and areas of interest.

Pierce County Parks and Recreation provides several different types of trails:

  • Regional multi-use trails that connect communities together and form the spine of the County trail system, like the Foothills National Recreation Trail.
  • Community network trails that connect parks to schools and other important community destination points, like the Nathan Chapman Trail.
  • Looped walking trails inside of County Parks that provide safe places for people to exercise and enjoy nature, like the trails at Chambers Creek Regional Park.
